David has
over 25 years experience in research, public policy, community
organizing, and coalition-building experience. He previously led two
local nonprofits, Washington Citizen Action, and the Center for a
Changing Workforce. He has a Masters Degree in Public
Administration/Public Policy from the Daniel J. Evans School at the
University of Washington, and a BA in Economics from the University of
Wisconsin.

Since 2005, Elana has helped lead several successful campaigns,
including Downtown For All and the Dearborn Project Community Benefits
Agreement, organized candidate forums on economic justice, and built
community support for workers’ rights campaigns, such as Hotel Workers
Rising. Prior to Sage, she organized for the Welfare Rights Organizing
Coalition (WROC) in Seattle and was active in campus organizing with
Minnesota PIRG. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota in
Minneapolis.

Howard has over 15 years in local planning, government finance and
public policy experience. Prior to joining Sage in 2007, he was research
director for the East Bay Alliance for a Sustainable Economy (EBASE) in
Oakland for eight years. From 1992 to 1997, Howard led the research
efforts of the Neighborhood Capitol Budget Group in Chicago. Howard has a
Masters Degree in Public Policy from University of California at
Berkeley, and a BA in American Studies from Grinnell College in Iowa.

Genevieve joined the Sage staff in 2010. Prior to
coming to Sage she was the High Point Community Builder for the Seattle
Housing Authority. She also served as the Statewide Field Director for
the ACLU-WA. Originally from the borderlands of El Paso, Texas she
completed her undergraduate education at Stanford with dual degrees in
Chicana/o Studies and Urban Studies. She has a Masters in Public Policy
and Urban Regional Planning from Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of
Public and International Affairs. She currently serves on the board of
the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA).

Prior to joining Sage in 2010, David had worked as a Research and
Policy Analyst at the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE),
since his graduation from Seattle University School of Law in 2007.
While attending Seattle University, he interned in Santa Cruz, Bolivia
on an cooperative agricultural development project. Before starting law
school, he worked a Volunteer Manager for a homeless service agency in
Pasadena, CA which served men, women, and families. He received his
B.A. in History from Pitzer College.

Paul joined Puget Sound Sage in 2010. For the past ten years, Paul has been a passionate advocate for building truly affordable housing and a champion for worker organizing, both professionally and as a volunteer. Most recently Paul has been the Shop Steward for OPEIU Local 8 at the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI), the Seattle region’s largest affordable housing developer. Paul is an Executive Board member of Washington State Jobs with Justice as well as an active member of Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance Seattle, Asian Community Leadership Foundation, and Washington State's Labor Center Advisory Committee. Paul is also active in both his church and community, advancing the well-being of working people across race and class lines. As Transit Justice Organizer, Paul works for both Puget Sound Sage and Rainier Beach Community Empowerment Coalition. Paul received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Seattle Pacific University.

Lucas joined the Sage staff in 2010. He is volunteering at Sage through Jesuit Volunteer Corps. Lucas has interned in government positions and at various non-governmental development and social advocacy organizations. In 2007 he worked as a veterans affairs case manager in Senator Patty Murray’s office in Seattle, WA. Later in 2007 he interned with Entre Mundos in Guatemala where he was a communications coordinator. In 2008 he conducted research into remittance patterns in Central America for CARE International in El Salvador. Over the last couple years he has worked at the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights researching democratization and religious freedom in Central Asia. He earned his BA from Seattle University in 2008 in political science. He has spent the last couple years in Oslo, Norway, completing his masters in peace and conflict studies.
